A FEW SUGGESTIONS FROM US
About the loft or flat:
In Barcelona, we all take the garbage out and place it in public bins generally located on the every corner or middle of the street.
We have a color-coded system that makes it easy for recycling:
Grey Bin = All garbage (for people who do not recycle)
FOR RECYCLERS (like we hope all of our guests are...)
Brown bin = organic material
Blue = paper
Green = glass
Yellow = cans, plastics, milk cartons, etc...
If you don't remember the color code, don't worry, there are pictures posted in each bin to remind you.
Gothic building: Because you are in the gothic quarters, where there are no large public containers/Bins (they don't fit in the narrow streets), the trash has to be left outside on the corner of the street right next to the public trashcan. You can still recycle and separate your trash, just put in different bags and leave it there. Trash is left starting at 20:00, or 8 pm.
Poblenou building: The grey bins are located across the street, the recycling bins on the corner of the next street.
“The best way to move around in the city”
Barcelona has a great Public Transportation System! And our metro works extremely well. It is both cheap and fast, there are also taxis, but they tend to be more expensive.
If you are coming from the airport: a taxi can cost from 30-45 euros and only 4 guests per taxi, it also depends on the traffic, time of day and luggage, (for each bag/luggage 1 euro is charged)
